Work and the labour market
labour market
In the subject work and the labour market, labour market and working life issues are studied mainly with a focus on career transitions, recruitment and entry into the labour market based on ethnicity, generation, gender and class.
Today, the research has a clear focus on migration and foreign-born's paths into the labour market. Among other things, the foreign-born networks are studied and in what way these networks enable establishment in the labour market. Furthermore, the participation of newly arrived persons in various labour market measures, such as "Snabbspår för nyanlända lärare", a fast track for teachers who recently have arrived to Sweden is examined. A further area of research is how labour market measures are organized within the Swedish Public Employment Service and among private actors.
