Research in focus: Perspectives on Malmö
Malmö is a city with many faces: unemployment, social deprivation and crime are one picture. But Malmö is also a popular and young city, renowned for its vitality and creativity and its rich cultural life. At Malmö University there is a lot of research related to the city.

We research the role of cities in history, changes in city life, and how their identities are produced and spread. An important part of our activities is to create historical dialogues in different places in Malmö.
