Presentation
Pieter Bevelander is professor of International Migration and Ethnic Relations (IMER) at the Department of Global political studies and Director of the Malmö Institute of Studies of Migration, Diversity and Welfare (MIM), Malmö University, Sweden. His main research field is international migration and different aspects of immigrant inclusion in host societies including labour market, housing, citizenship and political participation as well the reactions and attitudes of natives towards immigrants and minorities. His PhD in economic history is from Lund University, Sweden. He is currently Associated Editor of International Migration Review (IMR) and Comparative Migration Studies (CMS) as well as member of the editorial board of Journal of International Migration and Ethnic Studies (JEMS). He is a member of the board of the Swedish government committee on Migration DELMI (http://www.delmi.se/en), a Board member of the IMISCOE network and the Metropolis network.
