Presentation

My main interest

I am interested in how democracy is represented and constructed and what kind of citizens education is expected to ‘produce’ through the democratic mission of schools. What democratic, social or ecological problems is education expected to solve? Leadership, policy and organisation frame the field, as does what happens in the classroom. My thesis focuses on the democratic dilemmas of the superintendent to shed light on how education is governed in different ways through reform and policy.

My main competence

I have worked in the education sector for about 25 years; as an educator, superintendent & Chief Education Officer, educational developer and, process leader and evaluator. My expertise lies mainly in school development, process guidance, organisation and leadership, but also in public health.
