Presentation
Mariette Bengtsson is a RN and has worked as a specialist nurse with patients having gastroenterology diseases and disorders for several years. Since 2006 she is a teacher at Malmö University, and her three primary teaching and research subjects are Gastroenterology, Nursing and Safety. She is an associated professor and has a master degree, as well as a a doctoral degree. She is a Director of studies at Malmö University. She has published several papers and written chapters in books. Also, a self-assessment form Visual Analog Scale Irritable Bowel Syndrome (VAS-IBS) directed to patients with gastrointestinal disorders has she developed, as well as validity and reliability tested. The self-assemsnt form is translated to 4 languages. Her most cited article describes the research process – from planning to presentation, with the emphasis on credibility throughout the whole process – when the methodology of qualitative content analysis is chosen in a qualitative study.
