Presentation

I am a senior lecturer in Health and Society, specializing in medical law. My current research endeavors are principally centered on a project funded by the Riksbanken jubileumsfond, focusing on the intricate application of law in pediatric and adolescent healthcare. This research initiative is being executed in collaboration between Malmö University and the Pediatric and Adolescent Healthcare department at Skåne University Hospital.

In 2025, I will be returning to questions regarding Swedish authorities' handling of suspected female genital mutilation. The upcoming research project, funded by The Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare, focuses on how courts manage medical expertise in such cases.

My prior research has predominantly explored the practical implementation of legal rules and principles within the daily operations of diverse welfare professions. Notably, my doctoral dissertation centered on the regulation of documentation in healthcare, serving as a foundational point for my broader research agenda.

My teaching is focused on administrative law, medical law, and research ethics. I also participate in the activities by the Ethics Council for student theses at the Faculty of Health and Society, in addition to my involvement in the Research Ethics Council at Malmö University.
