I work as a senior lecturer at the Department of Social Work, mainly at the program Social Pedagogical Work in the field of Disability. In 2007, I defended my dissertation in ethnology that was about young people's everyday life of living with asthma. During my doctoral studies I was connected to the graduate school Vårdalinstitutet, which focused on health and care research. Since 2014, I am an associate professor in ethnology. My research moves across different empirical fields and is united in an interest in how people live with long-term illness and disability as well as the meeting with professionals in, for example, healthcare and habilitation. In some of my later texts, I have studied how people with disabilities relate to the city's obstacles, what significance figures have in diabetes care, how we deal with viruses and bacteria in our everyday life, to name a few examples.
