Presentation
Jonas E. Andersson is docent in architectural design, School of Architecture and Built Environment, KTH in 2017. Graduated architect at the Royal Institute of Technology, KTH, in 1990. Doctor of philosophy with thesis on architecture for frail older people with long-term medical conditions in 2011. Post doc studies performed at the Danish Building Research Institute, SBi, in Copenhagen in 2012-2013. In 2017, appointed associate professor in architectural design at the KTH School of Architecture. The period of 2015-2019, research officer and expert on accessibility and usability of the built environment in public buildings at the Swedish Agency for Participation. Since 15 August 2019, employed as associate professor in architectural and urban design at the department for Urban studies at the MAU. Involved in student educational courses and realising research on accessibility and usability of the built environment that promote participation for all people regardless of age and disability issues. Swedish expert in national and international standardisation work on accessibility and usability of the built environment for people with disabilities, currently standardisation work relating to the European Disability Act.
