If you have a disability that makes it difficult to read print text, you can borrow the course literature as talking books. There are also programmes that can help you when you are reading and writing. The programmes can be downloaded by anyone at Malmö University and installed on your computer or phone.

Using talking books

If you have a reading impairment, you can borrow books via Legimus.

Who can borrow talking books?

Once you have received your login you can search for talking books in Legimus. You listen to the books using a reading program on your computer or using the Legimus app on your mobile.

Search in Legimus

If you already have a Legimus account, you do not need to book an appointment for a walk-through, unless you do not want to. However, you need to transfer your account to Malmö University Library. Send us an email with your name, e-mail, and birth date to talbok@mau.se and we will take care of it.

You do not need a certificate in order to get help with talking books.

When your account is created, you are able to listen to books from Legimus in various ways.

Download EasyReader

If you do not find your course literature in Legimus, you can order a new recording. This applies to obligatory course literature or literature that you need for your paper.

Be sure to order well in advance. It takes around 6-10 weeks to record a talking book.

Information about mandatory course literature is to be available no later than the date the course or program opens for registration. After the registration opens no changes to the syllabus are allowed. For more information, visit Students Rights and Responsibilities, and the policy document The Rights and Responsibilities of Students at Malmö University, pages 3-5.

Email us if you need a new book recording
