Information about how Malmö University Library is structured and our main work areas.

About the library

Malmö University Library is responsible for and develops access to scholarly information resources, as well as providing support for scholarly publishing and bibliometric analysis. Through guidance and teaching, we contribute to students' learning so that they can develop a reflective and critical approach to information, information sources, and information retrieval. The library provides a learning environment for university students, developing through a pedagogical approach, and is a meeting place for collaboration between various actors within the university and the wider community.

Library organisation

The library is a separate area within the university's organisation and has approximately 45 employees divided into two departments: the Department of Information Resources and Scholarly Publishing, and the Department of Educational Activities and Learning Environment.
