Alva Zalar (Lund University)

In this seminar, Alva’s dissertation Queer as a City: Unsettling coherence in ‘sustainable urban development’ will be used as a starting point to discuss how architecture and urban planning can better support multiplicity and heterogeneity. How can we understand social sustainability in cities beyond cohesion and inclusion?

The lecture is part of the Open Urban Seminar Series, organised by the Department of Urban Studies and the Institute for studies in Malmö's history. The lecture will be held in English, but you can ask questions in Swedish.
